Meier's
Talent Earns First Prize Honors In
International Jewelry Design
Contest
Ron Meier of Everson's Jewelry in Coeur
d'Alene received first prize honors in a
jewelry design contest at the semiannual
International Buying Show of the
Independent Jewelers Organization. Thirty
entries were accepted in the competition
open to IJO members from the United
States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia,
Bermuda and the U.S. Virgin Islands. All
jewelry design pieces were on display for
two days and were judged by ballot by
fellow IJO members. Mier's entry was an
exquisite original design of a ladies 14
karat yellow gold custom designed Idaho
opal and star shaped diamond ring. The
Idaho opal is a prominent red flash in
combination with all other colors. The
ring is freeform style with two swirls
resting on top of the opal. The end of the
larger swirl, which was made to look like
a shooting star, contained a star shaped
diamond.
Everson's Jewelry is the exclusive
